Roomies. Dinner. Oranges. Pie.

Last night we celebrated our roommate's birthday at the fabulous La Grande Orange Cafe in Pasedena. It was a beautiful evening. Cookie samples open to grab as soon as you walk in. The restaurant had  dark lighting with candles at each table for a dark, mysterious, romantic atmosphere. Our selections were The Howie Burger, Ahi Tuna Tacos, & Wood-fire Rotisserie Chicken. Oh and deviled eggs for an appetizer. All was delicious with another free cookie on our way out. Two out of the four in the picture above drank a pitcher of Sangria so guess who had to be the DD for the night. Dessert was at the HOUSE OF PIES!!! Blueberry, French Apple, Pecan, and Butterscotch Pie a la mode was the plan and it happened with a nice rotation of plates around the table for everyone to experience the flavor of each pie. A great night ended with the creation of this blog at 2 a.m.
